WE ALL HAD TODAY...

THE HIKE TO THE LAKE, ALONG THE TOP OF THIS RUGGED ,10 FOOT HIGH WALL WAS A LITTLE NERVE RACKING,

EVEN DANGEROUS,

BUT THE STUDENTS WERE THERE

TO HELP US GET ACROSS.

THEY WERE WONDERFUL AND SO VERY KIND AND CONCERNED ABOUT US...

We had ended up at a lake, a clean water reservoir for Jinan drinking water, in the sun and with a group of fine young college students for an english conversation party.

OUR DESTINATION: THE WALL, BY THE LAKE

It looked like, I would imagine,

the wall from which Samuel

may have taught in olden times.

It was the perfect place to teach,

and start anew.

Signs were posted, no swimming. The students said this was because it was drinking water for Jinan.

SARDINE AND LAMB KABOBS--

The dark meat is mutton and the

every other white meat you see is

lamb fat.

A group of Masters Mechanical Engineering students had rented a bus, ordered Chinese BarbeQue with all of the things necessary to cook and a large quantity of natural charcoal, sardine and lamb kabobs.

This was certainly real, home made charcoal..

IT WAS REALLY QUITE GOOD

AND THEY HAD

MORE THAN ENOUGH FOOD

FOR THE ENTIRE BUS LOAD.

THEY KNOW HOW TO PARTY!

THEY COOKED FOR 3 HOURS...
