WE WENT TO THE WHOLESALE ZOO MARKET. ENGLISH TEACHERS ARE NEEDED IN CHINA FOR MANY REASONS. WE TEACH ENGLISH TO THE MEDICAL, ENGINEERING AND GRADUATE STUDENTS. THERE ARE GOOD REASONS TO LEARN TO SPEAK AND WRITE ENGLISH. ONE REASON IS CLEARLY SHOWN BELOW:
I THOUGHT THIS WAS A CLASSIC PHOTO OF THE LARGE AFRICAN BLACK CAT ON A LINE OF CHINESE COATS AND SHIRTS. click on the image... TO SEE THE DETAIL ON THE GREEN COAT NEXT TO IT. I DID NOT EVEN NOTICE THAT ONE UNTIL AFTER I POSTED THIS PHOTO... IT IS A COAT FOR: WINTER SEASON. I SHOULD DO SOME CONSULTING FOR TEXTILE MANUFACTURING COMPANIES HERE.
WE SHOPPED FOR LEATHER GOODS AND COATS TODAY AT THE ZOO MARKET ABOUT 45 MINUTES BUS RIDE AWAY...OUT IN THE COUNTRY, SORT OF, OR JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS BIG CITY. THE POSTED PRICEE IS 140. AND THIS IS APPROX. $20. WITH GOOD BARTER SKILLS, IT WILL SELL FOR ABOUT 16 DOLLARS.
ELWIN TRIES ON SOME LITTLE SHOES. THEY WERE OF VERY HIGH QUALITY HOWEVER.
THERE WAS A SCULPTURE WHICH I LIKED AND IT SAT IN THE COUNTRY IN FRONT OF AN ELECTRICAL TOWER.
DANA ACTUALLY BOUGHT & TRIED ONE OF THESE GRILLED, EGG AND ONION CHINESE BURRITOS. -- NO CHEESE. WAS NOT TOO BAD WITH THE SLICED CABBAGE INSIDE.

THE HOT DOGS--NO WAY JOSE. COATS WERE EVERYWHERE. MILLIONS OF THEM AND ALL SHAPES AND KINDS...
THERE WERE HUNDREDS OF SHOE STORES ALL DIFFERENT AND WITH DIFFERENT SHOES. IT WAS AMAZING. THEN THE COAT STORES...WERE EQUAL IN HUNDREDS OF LITTLE STORES BACK TO BACK AND LINING THE HALLS. THEY WERE ALL DISPLAYING THEIR WARES THE BEST THEY COULD...

THIS MERCHANT CLEARLY FORGOT TO PUT PANTS ON THE 6 FOOT TALL SKINNY AMERICAN MODELS, AND THE LITTLE BOY WAS WONDERING ABOUT THAT I THINK... THE NEXT PHOTO SHOWS HOW MOST OF THE SHOPS TAPED BLACK PLASTIC BAGS OVER THEM OR PART OF THEM, AS KIND OF GARBAGE SKIRTS.
DANA BOUGHT A NICE GREEN COAT THAT FITS HER WELL AND LOOKS GREAT. IT COST APPROX. $11.00 AMERICAN. JAY BOUGHT 4 SILK TIES AND A TIGHTLY KNIT SWEATER VEST. HE BARTERD WELL AND GOT THE TIES, ONE FOR 8 KWAI AND 3 FOR 20 KWAI EACH. SO THEY AVERAGED $3.00 AMERICAN. REMEMBER 7 KWAI IS ONE DOLLAR AMERICAN. GREAT BUYS. THE GORGEOUS SWEATER COST 80 KWAI...ABOUT $12. DOLLARS AMERICAN.
WE SHOPPED FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS BEFORE WE WERE EXHAUSTED AND CAUGHT THE BUS (.15 CENTS TO RIDE) BACK HOME.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Dad looks really good in his new outfit. Maybe you should make Mom model her new duds.
I totally support your suggestion that you shouldn't eat the hotdogs. Even in the States, you don't know what is in them.
I want some bright and obnoxious ties for my hubby for christmas. If I send you $,can you hook us up?
Pmua jackets, eh? Hmmm. Maybe they do that on purpose, misspell a knock-off by one letter - most people don't even know since they can't read it anyway, and you can claim you weren't trying to fool anyone! Keep an eye for Nkie running shoes and Timxe watches.
