Saturday night we were judges for Freshmen English Speaking contest and Singing contest. This is the girl who won the English singing contest. She not only sang great, but had a lot of stage presence. One girl sang "Amazing Grace". She was really good and I thought everyone thought we would vote for her, because they said it was an American song. But the girl who won was really the best, all round entertainer.
These are the students who competed in a 5 minute presentation using their best oral English. The girl with the microphone was judged to be the eventual winner and she was very good.
This is our traditional dinner after Sunday church for the third hour of the block. There wasn't any ham so we made our Cordon Blu main dish with cheese and fresh asparagus inside. The picture below is someone digging into it. It was very good.
I thought when I came to China I would lose some weight, but I have started liking some of the Chinese food and have learned to do more American food cooking here. We make Burritos, spaghetti, and bake bread and home made rolls often.
