We are coming home soon

Our first year in china has ended and we will be flying into Utah on June 23rd. It has sure been an adventure here in China. So we are packing up and getting all ready for our trip home.

These are picture of my students who came to help move Dad's new electric motor bike and of them carrying one of the 6 boxes that we had sent home on slow boat to Portland.

We are not sending anything extremely interesting home except for maybe some cute China dolls for the grand daughters.
Since we are coming back to china next year we are leaving most everything.

This was the last week of classes and so I wanted my Freshmen Nursing students, who had learned RT&B, to see Jonathan perform it right. I mean I wanted to have them hear it so they could really know how the tune went.
So we got Jonathan on Skype, 11:00 pm his time and 12:00 pm our time (He was Monday, we were Tuesday) and then they got to watch him on the big wall sing that and some other songs. Suzanna also sang three songs with him.
The student really loved it. Here they are watching the show.

One thing was fun. While finishing a musical video I was editing I put on a few pictures of myself when I was their age. Some Chinese are quite blunt. Like when one of my boys wrote in a letters to me, " I have never ever hugged a Foreigner and I have never hugged a fat lady." He then went on to tell me how much he loved me and that I needed lose weight. So back to the picture of me when I was 24. They wanted to see it again and again. They would say, "Show it again, you were so pretty when you young."
Here is me at 24.
And here is now.
I do believe there is definitely a difference from 40 years ago and now.
I decided to dye my hair before I came home and ended up with a Chinese dye. I now have really dark almost black red hair. I am going to look really good. I have decided to wait till I get home to get a hair cut. :0 The weather here is really hot and humid and we are so grateful for air conditioners.

Well, we are packing to come home for 2 1/2 months and are getting excited to see you all. But we will head back here to China less than three months later.
